Taner Öngür & 43,75 - Zaman Kırıntıları (Crumbs of Time)
Album Art & Visual Identity - Tantana Records, 2022

The Brief. Taner Öngür, founding bassist of Moğollar (the band that defined the Anatolian Rock movement), set two of Turkey's most consequential literary works to music: a poem by Nazım Hikmet and one by Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar. The release marked the 60th anniversary of Hikmet's original publication. The art had to hold all of it: literature, legacy, and a progressive rock-surf-swing score built in a home studio across five years of solo releases.
The Approach. Rather than illustrate the music, I built a visual language around the idea of time as residue, the literal translation of Zaman Kırıntıları. The cover treats typography and image as sediment, layered the way the album layers Hikmet's politics under Tanpınar's melancholy under Öngür's instrumentation. The system extends across the double-A-side 12" vinyl, digital release assets, and the campaign rollout.
The Result. A release positioned not as another solo record from a legacy musician, but as a cultural object that places Öngür's 43,75 project in conversation with the literary canon it draws from. Distributed via Tantana Records, with international press coverage and a vinyl run that sold through its first pressing.
