Alp is the bass player for the biggest selling Turkish pop star Tarkan, Nil Karaibrahimgil and Ilhan Ersahin’s Istanbul Sessions… I worked with him on his first album of his solo career. When I got a chance to design his album artwork, I was so excited to work with him because I always love his music, and it sounds so unique. This is why I accepted the job in the first place.
Alp wanted his album cover to look like a 60′s Turkish comic magazine that is called “Akbaba”, and we started to think about it. After several revisions, we decided that this artwork would be the best for his album. I used reverse print technique on “american bristol” paper, which was the best way to get some retro effects.
